EFT

EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT)

This was developed by Gary Craig, based on the discoveries of Dr. Roger Callahan, a psychologist who devised Thought Field Therapy. Born in 1940, Gary Craig has been interested, since the age of 13, in personal improvement via psychology.

EFT is a meridian-based energy therapy, similar to Chinese acupuncture which is based on the natural flow of energy within the body, strengthening and enabling the process of natural healing to restore a balanced state.

It is non-intrusive and often provides relief for a very wide range of physical symptoms and is usually quite gentle. The discovery behind EFT is that emotional upsets are the result of an imbalance in the body’s energy system which can cause physical symptoms. By tapping on the selected points with the fingertips whilst summarising, in a short affirmation, the issue that is causing a problem, EFT works by releasing negative emotions and balancing the energy flow system
